SAN FRANCISCO—September 29, 2009 ANTs software inc. (OTCBB:ANTS), a leader in database consolidation solutions, today announced it has been listed in Software Magazine’s “Software 500” ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers.

Software Magazine editor John P. Desmond highlights, “Among companies in the $5 million to $10 million range, the leader is ANTs software, No. 459, which grew at a 2,203% clip.” Desmond also lists ANTs in the “Top 10 Revenue Growth 2007-2008 For Overall Software 500.”

According to Software Magazine, “R&D Spending as a percentage of revenue is an important indicator of whether a software company is investing in the future and making life easier for its customers. Leaders in R&D spending include ANTs Software, spending 80% of its $8.3 million on research…It’s a strong indicator of commitment to keeping pace with technology.”

Now in its 27th year, the Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises. The rankings are based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2008. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.
